On Friday i took part in a fab Blind Scrapping challenge over at Scrap Therapy on Friday. The host of the show was none other than my sis Helen!!! I know what you are probably thinking, crafting blindfolded? no!!! earlier in the week Helen put up a thread in the Therapy forum letting all know the materials we require for the challenge ie, card & pp dimensions, bling, flowers, glossy accents etc. Then Friday it all kicked off in OZ at 7.30pm (10.30am in UK) and Helen played the challenge live & gave all of the girls playing along instructions to make a card/layout. It was such fun with plenty of banter & laughs via computer (seemed a bit like MSM). No one had any idea what the outcome of our cards & LO's would be when completed as we were making it blind without seeing any examples. All materials were our choice & we were only given a guide of what was required (we chose what card/pp we used, what colours etc). We were given until Tuesday before we could upload all of our pics of our work so that people who could not play along on the night could make their creations later on. If you fancy a go click here.

I was a bit panicky as not done one which is that distressed before & didn't want to ruin the pp. I have a new distressing tool & wasn't sure if id gone a bit OTT!!!! Beautiful card Gorgeous Clare! Love the distressing!!! Just the right touch, and I love blind scraps. Sometimes we structure classes and pages too much so it is good for the creative soul to let it have it's head every now and then. C x
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, don't ya just love a blind scrap, I haven't done one for ages. I'm so busy creating for all sorts at the moment. I have some of my cards in a retail children's store now which is exciting, so off to creat some stuff for that, and then we are off camping for the weekend, hope the rain stays away for us!, have a great weekend Clare! Say hi to Helen for me, we still haven't touched base yet this year!, I feel so slack!

LOL Clare, Helen was shopping for you.She was so funny, cause she was concentrating so hard, and I had the camera focused in on her and she turned around and I reckon it was pretty close to peeing her pants...and boy she can jump!!!
